Shortstop K'Lee Arredondo hit a two-run triple in the 12th to tie the
score and designated player Lini Koria hit a grand slam to end it, as
No. 3-ranked Arizona overcame a valiant challenge from Hofstra before
capturing a 10-6 win over Hofstra in 12 innings in the NCAA Regional
finals on Sunday afternoon at Hillenbrand Stadium.
With the win,
Arizona improves to 46-11 and advances to the NCAA Super Regionals,
where it will play a best-of-three series against BYU. Hofstra closes
out its season with a 45-12 record, tying the school record for wins in a
season and reaching the NCAA Regional finals for the fourth time in the
last seven years.
